Othello Tunnels

The Othello Tunnels are a series of historic railway tunnels located in the Coquihalla Canyon Provincial Park near Hope, British Columbia, Canada. They are part of the old Kettle Valley Railway and are known for their dramatic scenery and engineering significance.

History

The tunnels were constructed in the early 1900s as part of the Kettle Valley Railway project, which aimed to connect the Okanagan Valley with the Pacific Coast. The construction of the tunnels was a significant engineering feat at the time, as it involved cutting through solid rock and navigating challenging terrain.
